Zambezia is set in a bird city located deep in the heart of Africa, ruled by the wise and battle-scarred Sekhuru (voiced by
Leonard Nimoy). The destruction of the city is sought by a scheming iguana lizard named
Budzo, but the plot is discovered by a young falcon hero Kai (
Jeremy Suarez) who goes against his father's wishes to train with the prestigious
Hurricane Defense Flyers under the leadership of Ajax (
Jeff Goldblum). It is up to Kai and his soul mate Zoe (
Abigail Breslin) to muster all their flying skills and a dose of diplomacy to save their city.
